It has been tough finding a Super Polaris with what I want. Let me introduce myself. Astronomy was a love hate relationship. Simply living in a New York City apartment can do that to a man. Especially when I live about 2 miles away from Shea Stadium, 4 miles away from La Guardia Airport. There are only a handful of stars that I can see, the brightest is no star at all but Jupiter.
So early this year I decided to quit astronomy for good and concentrate on my college studies. I sold my Vixen 102mm ED, Losmandy GM-8 (which I couldn't use at all due to traveling to Korea, China, and Japan), and offered the money to my folks because they urgently needed money for some "business" purpose. Suffice to say my parents bought a house in upstate New York where the skies are nearly free from light pollution. Going there rekindled my interest in astronomy. Recently I decided to buy a telescope with a budget of less than 800.00. I wanted something that would give me the most bang for my buck, ego I choose the Intes MN56. However that scope took a good size chuck of the budget.
Honestly I don't like buying cheap things, because in the long run they may frustrate me out of astronomy. Nor do I want to buy an expensive scope and mount as before, especially in the city. No I want to start off where I can learn to love astronomy, again. I have 350 dollars, will you be willing to sell your Super Polaris mount? Let me know what you have.
