I have a DGM Optics 6.5" Off-Axis Newtonian for sale. This scope has no central obstruction and performs just like a 6.5" APO refractor and weighs under 20lbs! I've had my best views of Saturn and Jupiter with this scope. It's the best planetary scope that I've ever looked through. Why am I selling? Because I'm getting another DGM Optics scope!

The scope comes with a JMI DX dual speed focuser and the original DGM Optics smooth Dob mount. In addition this Dob's bearings are mounted on a yoke rather than directly to the tube making it easy to adjust the balance or take off for mounting on a GEM.

The extras include:

A custom made soft padded case for carrying (expensive because of the size)
2 dust covers for each end of the scope
an orion dovetail already mounted on the scope for an orion finder of your choice.
An Astrozap Dew Shield.

I'll throw in the parallax rings (I run this on a CI-700 with Gemini GOTO when I want GOTO) too.

Things you need to know about the scope:

I've cut circular holes out of the mount to lighten it up, it was really heavy and hard to carry now it's easy. This is a big plus! (Pictures available upon request).

I made one long scratch the outside of the black tube when I took the scope off the rings on the rings.

I've flocked important parts of the inside of this scope to allow for better contrast on the planets. The views of planets and doubles can't be beat.

Make me an offer. I need to sell this so I can buy my next DGM scope!

Thanks,

Mike.
