This drive system came with my CG5 mount. If you are a CG5 owner, you can purchase this drive at about half the price of a new drive.

In this dual-axis drive set, I replaced the standard CG5 RA drive with an Orion SkyView pro RA drive (second from top in photo). The Orion drive worked on my CG5, but I had to leave the mount cover off. The Orion drive is superior in that it features a metal bar that supports the phone-jack connection. You don't have to worry about a flimsy circuit board breaking on this drive.

The original owner modified the battery pack cord (see second photo). He inserted a connector so the drive could be powered by a different battery. The battery pack still works well, and the alteration has had no effect on its utility.

I am selling this drive system because I just purchased an Orion single-axis drive (I don't mind manually turning the dec knob).

This setup is perfect for an Orion SkyView pro mount. A CG5 owner might need to leave the plastic cover off of the RA drive, plus the battery cable is'nt very cool looking. You can decide if these minor inconveniences are worth a substantial savings.

$70, includes shipping.
$72.10 PayPal price.

Thanks for looking.
