Intes-Micro Alter M 503 5" F10 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope. Includes front and rear covers, QR Finderscope bracket with original Russian finderscope (7x35 I think), QR Camera bracket with 1/4" x 20 standard mounting screw, instruction manual, flexible dew shield, and black nylon padded carrying case. I have the original I-M diagonal which I will include but it needs to be shimmed to keep it from flopping around.

Included certificate of optical quality dated 02/03 states 1/6.1 ptv wavefront error at 555nm, 94% Strehl ratio, and on-axis resolution of 0.89 arc-seconds. These figures don't lie-optical quality is typical Russian excellence. Images are GREAT at the eyepiece. I have owned three different Celestron C-5's and this scope puts them all to shame. Focus knob is slightly stiff which is normal for these scopes but there is absolutely NO mirror shift. I have a William Optics Crayford focuser available at a bargain price should you desire the utmost in focusing smoothness.

This is a great travel or "grab'n'go" scope and works well on lightweight EQ mounts, astro alt-az mounts, or HD photo mounts. Perfect beginner's astrophoto telescope for film or digital.

Cosmetically there are a few tiny nicks with the largest one about 1/8th inch. Easily 9/10 cosmetically. Optics are flawless. I am the second owner of this scope. It originally came from ITE in Florida.

$500 shipped to you by FedEx ground in the USA. You won't find a better deal than this. Paypal plus 1.5%. Personal check must clear before shipment. Certified funds always welcome.
