Please read this Ad carefully as this C-14 is far from new, if fact it's likely more than 20 years old. Originaly an orange tube it has been repainted several times and is now a gloss black. The quality of the paint job is only fair. Years ago two holes were cut in the side of the tube to allow inernal access while using a coude type mount. One hole is 3" dia. the other is 4.5" square. Both access holes have removable fitted covers and are painted to match the tube. They do not interfere with the operation in any way. The optics which were never great were relaced by Celestron in July of 2001. I have the paper work and will suppy. The optics are now very good. A 9x50 Celestron finder and the older large 2" Celestron diagonal are also included. The mount is the original cast fork type with high and low speed slewing in both axis and well as sideral tracking. It is the original Celestron black finish. The original hand controller went missing and was replaced with another hand controller which functions fine. (The older C-14 hand controllers are no longer available from Celestron). The mount is completely functional in all regards. The coatings on the corrector and mirrors are good (2001) replacement. There is a Celestron C-14 tripod included but no wedge.
To recap this sale. 1) An older C-14 OTA with good optics,(2001) operationally fine and a fair looking paint job. 2) An older C-14 fork mount with original paint, replaced hand controller, operationally fine. 3) A Celestron C-14 tripod. Shipping will be the buyers expense from 80538. Please remember: if your looking for pretty, mint, no marks, like new, this is not for you! I cannot post pictures but will attempt to answer any questions. I would be happy to demo the scope for anyone within driving distance of Loveland, Colorado.
