We've just received a shipment of the New Baader UHC-S Nebula Filters. Baader has finally applied their advanced filter technologies to Nebula filters (something we've been anxiously awaiting, for use in our own observing).

The Baader UHC-S filter strikes the perfect balance of light throughput, contrast enhancement, and blockage of light pollution. The UHC-S delivers a darker sky and improved contrast over typical broadband 'Deep Sky Filters', without sacrificing all the stars or image quality like other 'UHC' filters. The moderate passband and extreme efficiency make this filter great for smaller scopes as well as the giants. Ideal for imaging, too (>99% transmission of H-Alpha).

We think the UHC-S brings something new to the Premium Nebula Filter field, while delivering unique Baader features, true optical quality and robust filter durability. The reasonable prices also make these the best value on the market, 1.25" ($82) and 2" ($136).

Coming Soon: Baader Venus Filter. Permits imagers to record cloud structure on Venus!
