Thanks Rick! My apologies to others for the confusion on the photo, the tripod etc.

----

I am the sole owner of this mount. It has been babied since its arrival several years ago. This is the GOTO version of the AP-600E.

Included in the package:

3 nine pound stainless steel counterweights: $95 each new
Polar alignment scope $215 new
Dove08 mounting plate $95 new
LARGE penguin case that holds the entire mount: $150 new
Longer cables for motors and hand controller: >$100

Total invested in the mount: > $5400

It all goes for $5000.00. Buyer to pay shipping which will be expensive unless local pickup near Santa Barbara, CA can be arranged.

The wood tripod in the picture is NOT part of the sale as I don't have it anymore.

I would also like to offer my custom pier for the mount. This pier was custom designed and built. It stands approximately 48 inches tall and is made of HEAVY duty aluminum tube.

This is NOT the thin wall stuff used by Astro-physics which relies on truss binding for stabilizatin. The walls of this alumunium tube are 1/2 inch thick. The mounting ring is solid aluminum and custom machined to fit the bottom of the AP-600. The legs are hinged and fold down from the pier and are secured using a simple turn buckle system. This is also how the pier is leveled. The total weight of the pier is approximately 75 pounds. Once setup NOTHING disturbes it.

The mounting ring for the AP600 is aluminum welded to the tube. It would be very easy to remove it and replace it with a custom ring for any mount you desire.

Unfortunately due to its weight and size the pier must be picked up. It cannot be shipped unless you are willing to pay for a custom trucking company to ship it.

I'm offering the pier at $500. It is WELL WORTH the money! Far better than anything I've seen on the market. Combined with the AP-600 you have a GOTO platform that is ridgid and stable.
