Years ago I had a bluegrass band called the Bluegrass Connection.
Reflecting back, what I really miss the most were the groupies who
used to come up to us after each show. Although they were thrilled,
they must have been deaf since I still remember every beat missed playing Foggy Mountain Breakdown.
So, I was more than a little sceptical when I started receiving
kudos for the Series IV 'Stiletto' focusers from CCD users:
"I want to give you and my new Stiletto Series 4 Pro Focuser an At-a-Boy! The first good seeing conditions we had, I tried the focuser and, of course, I was sure I would need to "refine" the focus using MaxIm to get it just right. Well,to my surprise and delight, moving the focuser both in or out caused a degrading of focus. It was bang on! Thank you for a really fine product, one that does as advertised." - Ron Mixon (ST9E)
"Thank you! This thing was a joy to work with and the images
were tack sharp! I have included 2 shots of M13, one using MaxIm
to judge best focus, and one using the Stiletto. The skies when I
used the Stiletto were far worse regarding light polution and seeing
than the ones taken with MaxIm. There is an obvious difference!!!
Feel free to use the shots to demonstrate that even a rank amateur
can get it right with the Stiletto!" -Tom Picciani (ST237)
Despite all my reservations, after receiving actual photos from these fellows, I have to admit I just might be on to something. And you can be too. The Series IV 'Stiletto' is the fastest and most precise way to focus an astrocamera - any camera! A Series IV is available for nearly all 35mm, CCD, and Medium Format camera models. But, unlike the Bluegrass Connection, Series IV performance is guaranteed. (It's a lot easier to make a precision focuser than to pick a 5-string banjo. )

won't miss a beat ever again.
