This is an extremely rare and amazing telescope.
I have a big roofing bill due, so some toys need to go.
See ad 223843 for more details, and then read on.
For all you fans of a minimal number of lens elements with maximum quality, this one is for you. It is a 4" f10 planetary fluorite doublet.
I have read that only around 15 of these were imported into the US, (out of 100 or so produced) and by all accounts they are far superior to any FS102.
This one was on the bench at Texas Nautical in October just before it came to me, where they found the lens did not need cleaning or alignment. Condition overall is very good, with a few minor paint scuffs.
I removed the taped-on finder bases that came with it without any damage to the paint.
Price is $1,950 +$50 shipping CONUS. That is what I paid and it ncludes the nice Tak ring. I REALLY don't want to ship this, though, and would be willing to drive a few hours from central Ohio to meet you if you are interested. Preference will be given to buyers willing to pick up or meet me. Also, it needs to be going to a good home where it will be well taken care of and allowed to look at it's favorite objects (planets) as often as possible.
I also have some useful Tak accessories I would discuss including.
Thanks for reading.
