If you are looking for a wide field scope that produces tack sharp stars across a 35mm neg or large chip, then this scope is for you. Fast f/5 Genesis (late production, non-SDF with the captive sliding dewcap). The 4 element fluorite f/5 Petzval design uses four lenses in two groups to provide a nearly 5 degree flat field of view…perfect for astrophotography!

Everything is in excellent condition, has a fine 2” rack and pinion focuser with a TV diagonal and a 1.25” adapter and a plug to keep the system clean from that end. The scope also includes a TV hard case (brown color) and a Thousand Oaks glass solar filter that fits over the dew shield for daytime viewing. Also includes a TV clamshell mount adapter (machined w/ slots for finders, etc).

Underneath this scope is rock solid Vixen GP Mount with motors and dual axis controller in excellent condition with the following:
-8lbs Counterweight
-Illuminated Polar scope
-Adjustable aluminim tripod
-Vixen Dovetail Plate with high quality Parallax rings
-Slow motion control knobs (standard equip.) plus the long flexible cable ones
-Orion Sky Wizard 2 computer and encoders (the nice ones that blend with the mount)
-12V cigarette lighter adapter

The only flaws worth mentioning are a couple cosmetic paint chips on the tube and an occasional annoyance in the declination button controller (sometimes goes the opposite direction when pressed). Will take a photo of the scope this evening.

I really don’t want to let this outfit go, but I underestimated my tax bill by about the value of the scope and I refuse to borrow against my credit line to pay taxes. Asking $2400 plus shipping.
