I have finally realized that I will never have the time to finish this scope. So, I've decided to try to sell the mirror. Please excuse the dust in the picture.

I have a 15" f5 mirror that is made of BVC (produced by ASM products in Canada). It is an excellent quality mirror. I purchased it about a year ago from an individual locally (it was brand new in the crate). Unfortunately, on the way home with the mirror, I got some rub marks on the surface. It didn't hurt the mirror itself, but it rubbed a spot of the silver off the surface. So, the mirror needs to be replated. I've called ASM (Andre Taillon), and he will do it with 96% coatings for $184.95 if shipped to him. If it is done locally, it should run about the same price. I would like to sell the mirror, and the 9 point flotation cell for it. The mirror is over $1000 new plus shipping (and a LONG wait). The flotation cell is another $150. I would like to sell these for $650 including shipping (firm).

If you are looking to build a big light bucket but don't want to break the bank, this a good deal for you. Just price 15" mirrors elsewhere.
