For Sale:

Johnsonian Type V Equatorial Platform

Enjoy high power views of night sky delights with your 10- 14.5” Dob or 16” Ultra Light Dob. The mount is a year old and in excellent condition and has the upgraded motors and EPROM chip. Comes with hand paddle AC adapter and manual. I have original shipping box, which will insure safe deliver.

I added a wooden top to the mount, which it did not have when these first went into production. Just point the table north plop your scope down and enjoy an hour of relaxed viewing, no more tugging on the scope to Saturn in view, see how many more craters you can see inside Plato or check out the detailed structure in M101. Works at any latitude from 20 degrees to 55 degrees North or South.

I used this mount with my 150 pound 16” Truss and it worked very well even though I exceeded the weight limit by about 10 pound. I enjoyed the tracking so much that I have upgraded my scope with RX Designs ServoCat so the Type V is no longer needed.

New these mounts sell for $960 including shipping, this one can be yours for $650 plus shipping.

Thanks for looking…
