30 inch F/5 Obsession. Delivered by Obsession in April of ’94. Some minor cosmetic scars but in good condition.

The primary optic was delivered by Yuri Petrunin (now of TEC) in 1993 and is Sital, 1-to-8 thickness ratio with 19 holes core drilled for weight relief. Mirror weight is 167lbs. It is mounted on 18 points. Outstanding figure. Surface RMS of 0.02 lambda (wavefront 0.04 lambda). Surface PV of 0.11 lambda (wavefront 0.22 lambda). The original documentation is available. The mirror needs a new coating (which can be obtained for under $2000).

The secondary flat is 4.25” ma yielding 14% central obstruction by diameter and 2% by area.

Comes with wheel barrow handles, JMI NGF focuser, light shroud, Telrad, NGC-Max, a set of thread on counter weights for the UTA and a full scope cover made of a Gortex clone material.

I prefer a local pickup in the central mountains of Colorado but can deliver for the cost of expenses.

This is your chance to own a superb 30” mirror mounted in a superb instrument. The optics alone have been valued at $15,000.00 +. (with a new coating, of course). Pictures available upon request.

Asking $12,000 obo.

Thanks for checking my ad.
