Somebody must want this scope! It has got to go. So you tell me what you'll pay for it.
I'll accept offers at or over $750 till the end of the week and then pick a buyer. In case of a tie offer, the first to offer gets the scope. No.... I won't play you off of each to raise the bidding!

A 17.5” Coulter Odyssey II for sale. Original tube has been restored/repainted. The rocker box is also original but with a new material on the base board and side bearings. The new material used (some sort of vinyl or plastic) works OK but is a bit sticky and you may wish to replace it. (I can provide the winning bidder with Wilsonart Ebony Star material for this upon request.) The focuser is a JMI NGF 2”. The thumb knob and shaft on one side is damaged but it still works well. The secondary mirror is the original 4.25” and is as mounted by Coulter. The primary mirror has been refigured and re-mounted in a sling on an 18-point floatation platform that is fitted to the original round backboard that Coulter used. Galaxy Optics refigured the mirror. When it was refigured, it was found to have a severely turned edge. The time and additional expense involved to correct this flaw was deemed prohibitive and so the mirror is now masked. The masked/stopped down mirror performs excellently. The clear aperture is approximately 17.25” diameter (the actual overall diameter of the mirror is close to 17.825”). The coatings are in good condition and the optical performance of the scope is excellent. A Telrad finder is included.

I prefer a local pickup only but may be able to meet or deliver within a day’s drive of central Colorado. .

If all you want is the optics or parts, I am willing to part out the scope and ship the parts for actual shipping costs plus insurance.

I accept personal checks (held until they clear), money orders and, now, PayPal.

Thanks for looking!
