Meade LX-10 Deluxe 8 inch SCT that includes declination motor and 8x50 finder. Also includes original tripod, manual, diagonal and Super Plossl 26mm eyepiece. Condition is excellent - scope has been kept inside. Optics are superb. Three extra eyepieces with current new prices for reference are:
Meade Super Plossl 40mm $99
Meade Plossl 3000 9.5mm $40
Celestron Ultima 5mm $80
Also included is Tuthill Precision Polar Axis Finder that performs exact polar alignment making scope drive tracking dead on. Current price from Tuthill web site is $379. Finally, also included is a large metal-framed shipping trunk for the scope with full-length hinge, heavy-duty latches and foam interior. These have been going for $200 on Astromart. I would e-mail you a picture upon request.
Scope and extras are available for pickup in the Chicago metro area or I will deliver/meet within 100 miles. I do not want to ship this scope.
Asking price for all is $975.
Trunk is available separately for pickup for $125.
Payment by major bank cashier's check, money order or cash.
Am selling this scope because I have another scope and don't need 2 SCT's.
Thanks for looking.
Bob Losh
