These Celestron Ultima 2000 forks have been sitting on the floor of my office for a few months now. My priority list has my own home & property at the top, and there is no time to develop my plans for this fine mount.

I bought from the original owner, who kept the Ultima C8 tube, and I paid over $500 for the forks. The hand controller is new, bought after the original purchase and it has the latest ROM. I have set this mouint up with a tube and it has functioned as expected, including GoTo operations.

Included in this lot: The Ultima 2000 fork mount, hand controller, RS-232 cable for Laptop control, and original Celestron shipping carton. The manual is on-line at Celestron or I can email the file. Shown in photo, the only cosmetic blemish, scraping of the grey paint on base from the Ultima 8 tube with a longer accessary focuser.

Asking $320, shipped CONUS. Money order or Paypal.

Additional information:

This is a very unique mount. Primarily, it is equiped with encoders on the axis shafts, and keeps its alignment with hand slewing of the tube. The hand controller has the full database of objects, including planets. The 3 Alt-Az bearings have been replaced with higher quality bearings and spacers (Skateboard wheel bearings!) The Altitude bronze sleeve bearings have been replaced with larger surface area higher tolerance ones.

At my asking price, this mount could also be purchased for parts backup, since Celestron future support may be questionable.

Thanks for looking.
