This is the telescope that started the Russian Maksutov-Cassegrain revolution in the U.S. Nominal 150mm diameter, 1500mm focal length with coated corrector plate and separate 2" secondary (not an aluminized spot on the plate!).
Originally imported by JMI, and modified by them to accomodate a JMI focusser. There's enough back focus to use a star diagonal with almost any 1 1/4" eyepiece.
No optical test data available, but the telescope shows a clean Airy disk with a diffraction ring or two at high power. Makes an excellent, and highly portable, planetary or all-around visual telescope.
Includes original accessories - a Celestron prism star diagonal, Intes 30mm Kellner eyepiece, 6 x 30 finder, and front lens cap. As a bonus I am including a Tundra hard case that originally cost $125. It's big enough to hold the OTA and a small equatorial head or other accessories, and sturdy enough to be airline checkable.
Asking $500 + shipping. Continental US only please.
