I purchased a Dominator tripod from Astrosky about a month or so ago (I had purchased a G11 from Astromart and tripod wasn't included). While waiting for the Dominator a local guy sold me his used Losmandy tripod. Now I have two (one too many as my wife sees it).

I've taken pictures next to the Losmandy tripod for comparison it is about 1/2 the weight of the Losmandy tripod. If I travelled with my scope much I'd definitely keep it as it appears very well made. Perfect for G11 or G8 as part of permanent or travelling rig. James at Astrosky said load capacity was 150lbs which seems reasonable given the construction. I have an SCT (ordered a little shorter) so the height is adjustable from 36"-42". It also has an acrylic (?) eyepiece holder that James gave me as a christmas present and a bracket to hold the digital drive.

It is as it came out of the box, never been mounted, set-up only for pictures. I paid $285+$35 shipping.

$255 or best offer shipped UPS Ground w/tracking number CONUS. Paypal preferred (no fee) other forms must clear. Due to the holidays I will not be able to ship the tripod until Friday 1/3. Check my feedback.

Regards,

Ron
