First off, Happy Holidays!
I have a like new William Optics Crayford Focuser for Newtonians that was on my XT10. I sold my XT10 with the stock focuser and now have this very nice WO crayford left over. My new Starmaster has a JMI on it. This is a very good crayford focuser that is the high profile design that can replace many of the Synta and Guen Sheng 2" focusers. You can find it here on Anacortes if you want to read their stats and get a retail price ($140).
Min height racked in (w/ 2"-1.25" adaptor) - 3"
Travel - 1.125"
Max height- 4.5" The 2"-1.25" adaptor is made specifically to have 2 different positions. That gives you an extra .5" of available out focus without resorting to an extension tube.
In the picture, you will see that there is the focuser. It comes with a compression ring setup on the 2" part. The WO 2"-1.25" adaptor has a set screw. The black flat things with holes in them are spacers/baffles and an inside cover that I used on the XT10. They could be used on any telescope for installation.
With the stuff you see in the picture, all you need to do for an XT10 is drill 4 holes and install this focuser. I do not know if it will fit this easily on a Guen Sheng version of the XT10. It should, but I can't guarantee it.
If you email me, I can send you a link to my webpage describing how this focuser works and the install procedure.
So, if you want to replace your stock rack and pinion focuser with a very good crayford, you can't beat this deal.
$100, shipped. Paypal is preferred, but MO are good too. If you have a great rating, a check will do just fine.
Clear skies and Happy Holidays,
