Why settle for only "5.25 megapixels"? Purchased in mid-2001 and used infrequently. Condition is MINT; and I mean MINT cosmetically and "SUPER-MINT" optically! Perhaps the finest slr camera ever made. The Leica R8 is a high-premium grade camera from Germany which excels at all types of photography and is the clear choice of professionals! The package includes:
1)R8 camera body with original hard-shell display box.
2)Leica's vario-elmar 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens - for extra sharp contrast and perfect color rendition!
3)EverReady Leather Case with strap - designed to carry the R8 with the zoom attached.
4)160 page hardcover book: "The Leica R8" by J.Eastland - provides a comphrensive overview of the camera and most importantly - it instructs!
5)Gitzo "Reporter" Monopod: extends to 6'4" and contracts to 2'. Unused!

The camera is technically advanced but so easy to use! A joy to use.
Selective metering(three methods) plus use of one of four exposure control modes - automatic programmed being my favorite- will provide superior performance. These are all located on the top of the camera etc. Shutter speeds range from 1/8000th of a second to 32 seconds! I recently brought the camera back to the primary US dealer in New York to replace the two CR-2 lithium batteries ($13 -once a year...) and they were impressed at the camera's condition as I described. It is very sturdy and well-made.

Price: $1,800 plus insured s/h.

Picture: If you are interested, I can email a picture to you as an attachment-virus protected. The picture has too many bytes for posting on AstroMart.
Thank you!!!
