I purchased this Nexstar 5 (not the GPS capable 5i) as a new item for resale from the estimable Bill Vorce at a recent Riverside scopemakers convention. It has remained in storage in its original box ever since and I have never had an opportunity to use it, but these newer grey tube Celestrons generally have superb optics. The scope comes with new unused AC power adaptor, dust cover, laser finderscope, handheld electronic go to controller, visual back, new 1.25" diagonal, single arm and base, all housed in polystyrene molding inside a Celestron shipping box. Somehow, the original eyepieces and manual have been lost, but the LED instructions on the handheld controller can be easily followed. Provided is a very nice 14mm 1.25 inch unmarked Erfle eyepiece for the asking price of $540 shipped in continental USA.
Also available is an aluminum Nexstar tripod with bolts which came with an 8" Nexstar--price negotiable with any bidder who badly needs it. Also, a brand new JMI nylon carrying case with intact/untouched diecut foam intended for the Nexstar 5 is available for about $180 extra.
Please call 909-425-5300 and leave a message on the recorder or with my wife who will contact me, or send an email if interested.
No extra fee for paypal, which saves an awful lot of time and trouble.
