Trying to make this great scope more affordable, so I'm offering it at a lower price with one of my 2" Custom Crayford focusers in place of the Feathertouch. This focuser is very nicely made, has ball bearing construction throughout including the focuser shaft, includes a stainless steel strip for the focuser shaft to ride against, and a teflon tipped adjustable brake to adjust the tension. Big, knurled, 2 inch diameter focuser knobs and a 3/16" focuser shaft provide very fine focusing control with no backlash.

The OTA has a Zambuto mirror in excellent condition. Peak to valley wavefront is 1/34.9 and the Strehl Ratio is 0.995 with a very smooth surface. I have a copy of the mirror certificate from Carl Zambuto.

The secondary cage is custom made from 3/16" thick, 3/4" wide solid Oak Hardwood strips. Much lighter and stronger than the original Sonotube cage. The inside is covered with black Protostar flocking. Contrasty, wide field views and with the F5.4 focal ratio, there is no need for a Paracorr. This scope will outperform most 12.5" scopes yet the height to the center of the focuser at zenith is only 63". And, it's more forgiving of ambient urban light than larger scopes would be. Lightweight, easy to wheel around on a dolly, and the truss tubes and secondary cage are easily removed from mirror box with 4 hand tightened bolts. Holds collimation extremely well.

Includes a Telrad finder. Total price is $2300 + Shipping.
