**SOLD**I'm not sure if this was good luck or bad luck, but I received my new LX90 on August 23 and a few weeks later a 15" Obsession came up for sale in my area. I couldn't resist.
Since then, the LX-90 has sat lonely in the corner of the dining room. I really hate to sell it but I simply can't justify keeping it.
I have used it about 6 times. It operates perfectly. Pointing accuracy is excellent, collimation was dead on out of the box, Beautiful diffraction rings and excellent optically.
There are no dings or scratches - it is "as new" except one thing - I put a piece of velcro underneath one of the two forks to hold a Kendrick dew heater controller (not included). You can not see the velcro unless you look under the scope, and it can be easily removed if you wish.
I built a dew shield for the scope out of a camping mat, and lined it with black felt. This cuts stray light and radiation losses (and onset of dewing) down significantly. I will include it with the sale. I will also include a power cord I made which allows one to use a 12 volt trolling motor (or other) battery to power the scope instead of the normal alkaline cells.
This has the standard 1.25" diagonal, 8x50 finder scope, adjustable heigth tripod, etc. EXCEPT I will keep the 26 mm Plossl lens which came with the scope.
My price is $1300 and buyer pays shipping and insurance. Original boxes will be used, and I have 2 manuals for the scope (one from the internet to use outside to protect the factory manual from dew). Paypal is ok if you pay the 3% upcharge. Otherwise money order or cashier's check.
Delivery could be negotiated to areas around Louisiana or East Texas (Houston, etc)
Thanks for looking.
