Hi All,

I believe this is a pretty rare item, was published in 1989 by the
National Park Service as a study to determine what historical observatories would qualify as National Landmarks.

Some fantastic photos of the 'scopes in these big observatories
like Hale, Lick, Mt. Wilson etc., a total of 36. A compendium of photos, maps, and a summary of the significance of each site.

The cover (see photo) is a pencil sketch of the Hale telescope and
dome by Russell W. Porter himself!

It's softcover in excellent shape, except for the cut of the last
few pages have a little bit of overhang. This occured during
final assembly of the book, and not because of use.

I was thinking $60 plus $2 media mail shipping.

PayPal (+3%) or MO accepted.

Thanks,

Bob Campbell
