Takahashi FC-125 fluorite refractor with 4" focuser and built-in
camera angle adjuster for sale.
It is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically. It is an exceptionally good telescope that gives stunning views with excellent contrast and has a perfect star test.
The 4" focuser allows photography with standard 35mm and medium format
cameras such as the Pentax 6x7 and is also perfect for CCD imaging. The camera angle adjuster is a great feature that allows easy object framing and will maintain critical focus during rotation.
I am having the optics professionally cleaned and checked by Texas Nautical, the US Takahashi importer.

The scope is for sale for $5,000 and includes the following:

OTA with 2" visual back and Takahashi front lens cap
Parallax rings and 1 Losmandy dovetail plate
Takahashi f/5.9 focal reducer with metal caps

Everthing else shown in the picture below is not included.
This is a wonderful scope that is ideal for astrophotography and imaging. I am selling only because I will be upgrading to a larger Takahashi refractor. The attached images were taken recently with a CCD camera. The helix was taken at f/8 and the Lagoon was taken with the focal reducer at f/5.9
