A complete wide field and solar observing sytem. Includes Orion Short Tube 80mm refractor, Orion SkyView Deluxe equatorial mount, 90 mm
tube rings with heavy mounting plate, Orion glass solar filter, 3.5 # and 7# counter weights, 45 degree correct image diagonal (not the 90 degree
one in the picture)and a 25 mm 1.25" wide angle kellner eyepiece. Nearly $700 worth of "stuff" will sell for $350 complete, plus shipping. Pay Pal
preferred.
The SkyView is not the lightweight mount currently offered with some current short tube models. It has a polar alignment scope and was $275 new. The 90mm tube rings provide rock solid mounting of the scope and are worth $65 alone. The glass filter is also a $65 item. The interior of the short tube has been painted ultra flat black. There are a few coating scratches on the
objective due to cleaning, but appear to be cosmetic, they do not effect the image. Otherwise everything is in like new condition.
Why selling? I bought this setup for my daughter a few years ago, she is a teenager now and couldn't care less (I tried).
