1.) Very rare Takahashi TSC-225, often referred to as the best production SCT ever built. This unit is in very mint cosmetic and optical condition and has rarely seen use. This scope comes with three items even more rare the TSC-225: The matching insulated dew shield and cooling fan that draws filtered ambient air through the tube assembly. Also included is the custom Takahashi OTA storage/shipping aluminum airline rated guard case.
Each set of optics was hand figured to deliver 1/8th wave to the film plane or eyepiece. The tube assembly employs 15 light trapping baffles to reduce internal light scatter. Also included is a 7 x 50 finder, which is aligned to the main tube and is so solid that the instructions recommend picking up the tube by it.
Primary mirror: 235 mm (225 mm effective)
Effective focal length: 2700mm at f/12
This is a chance to own a premier collectible that is optically superb and will provide either fantastic views at the eyepiece or superb images with CCD or film.
2.) EM-200 mount is a mint condition precision equitorial EM-200 model (yr 2000) w/wooden legs and two matching 5Kg weights. It mates perfectly with the TSC-225 and is exceedingly stable and vibration free. No scratches or paint marks.
TSC-225 scope is priced at $3895.
EM-200 is priced at $2500.
