Available in October, a MI-750G mount with a 16 inch f/10 classical Cassegrain.
The optics are by Tom Scott (maker of the Simak astrographs of the 1980's). This is a custom built tube assembly with powder-painted aluminum tube, rack and pinion focuser, 6 inch secondary, f/3.2 primary. Nulled against an optical flat, this Cassegrain has some of the finest optics anywhere.
Optionally, the Cassegrain can be mounted on the MI-750F equatorial fork for a more compact configuration. This is ideal for the small college/private observatory.
For serious customers, we would be glad to demonstrate this telescope and mount (preferably at night) . Contact us to make arrangements.
