Ok, I'm really ready to move on to my next scope, so I'm going to take a big loss and drop my asking price on my Newtonian to $1200. This scope is made of the best components money can buy, and gives jaw-dropping views of planets and DSO's.

The minimal visual mount for this optical tube would be a Losmandy GM8 or equivalent; a larger mount would be needed to do astrophotography. Included are a Mike Spooner Pyrex mirror with Beral coating, Feathertouch dual-speed 2-inch focuser with custom radius plate, Protostar quartz secondary, holder, and 3-vane spider, Parallax aluminum tube, Meridian tube rings, Orion finder bracket, and University Optics mirror cell.

All of the parts are in excellent condition; the mirrors have not been cleaned. The holes in the aluminum tube are in perfect placement as I practiced on a cardboard sonotube first (you can have this too if you wish for free). The components are precisely placed for a minimal 16% obstruction, quarter-inch fully illuminated image at focal plane, and minimum focuser intrusion into tube. I will also provide my design spreadsheet and Protostar collimation instructions and interferometry report for the quartz secondary.

I would prefer a local sale as this is a large telescope (5' long) and because of the premium quality parts. I would be willing to drive 100 miles or so from New Orleans to meet for the sale.
