SET PRICES (no minimum offer business):

7" Starmaster dobsonian in excellent condition with Zambuto mirror, $1500.

with Sky Commander DSCs, complete system, $1800.

(incl. latest version SC box, Discovery tangent arms/encoders & cable, & SC chip tool for upgrades)

Preference given to pick ups and buyers of complete system. Shipping & insurance extra—from 13850. CONUS only.

COMES WITH:

Red dot & Celestron 6x30 finders.

Original Starmaster 2”/1.25” Rhol-Trax focuser. Repositions rapidly for different eyepieces. Draw tube’s orientation varies, which can make collimation more challenging than it need be, but good collimation is achievable.

Secondary 1.3” w/ 96% enhanced coating.

Steel, open primary mirror cell.

SPECIAL FEATURE: Starmaster bushings/couplers for digital setting circles encoders already installed. Nothing to drill to add DSCs. Thumb screws provided.

OF NOTE:

Small sized secondary and smooth Zambuto mirror combine for high contrast planetary, DSO views.

A truly versatile scope—from wide field views to close-up planetary studies. 2.5+ deg FOV possible.

Very portable—f/5.43, short tube (~43”) fits even small cars. Easy to schlep—tube/mirror 19 lbs; mount 17 lbs.

Remains balanced even w/ heavy eyepiece/Barlow.

Be aware—Oak Classics can have tube currents when facing large temperature changes—e.g., moving from a warm house to a cold outside. One approach is to set the scope out early. Alternatively, some leave the scope in a cool garage or observing shed; others have installed fans. Open mirror cell does provide pretty quick cool down.

Well cared for. Little used last 2 years (used 10” instead). Kept in 1st floor room w/ hard dust covers on.

Bank check preferred. (Personal check means a longer delay for clearance.)

Shipping details. 2 boxes: 14.5”x14.5”x49” and 27.25”x18.5”x18.5” Add several lbs. for weight of boxes/packing material.

E-mail any questions.
