Save yourself money and get a scope of known quality w/ extras.

Meade donated this scope to Astronomy Magazine last spring, to be used as 1st prize for AM's own national contest. The scope was won by a non-astro person in my area who sold it to me. I'm confident Meade made sure that this particular LX90 was top notch. They'd be greatly embarrassed had they supplied a scope for a national contest sponsored by one of the country's leading astro magazine that turned out to have problems or that was sub par. I'm an SCT veteran and this scope gives great images and works well.

Excellent, pristine condition. It’s been outside only 3 times! Kept in temperature controlled 1st floor room. Still has the original quality control inspection sticker on it. I’m selling it because it didn’t fit my observing style. I use a smaller SCT for digicam work and a dob with DSCs for visual.

All standard equipment included (#497 Autostar, tripod, diagonal, 8x50 finder, 26mm Super Plossl, etc.) plus manual. Also comes with two Meade items NOT provided on earlier LX90s: an Autostar handset holder and 3 felt pads in the front lens cover so it fits more securely.

EXTRAS ($250 worth)!

1. UHTC—Ultra-High Transmission Coatings—improve brightness ~20%.
2. Meade piggyback camera adapter.
3. #505 PC-Autostar cable connection kit.
4. Batteries (8 C).

Have all original boxes; you’d pay shipping/insurance from 13850, continental US only. Box dimensions: 14" x 20" x 29", 13" x 13" x 37", and 12" x 6" x 5" (accessories). Dealer stated shipping weight is 73 pounds total.

Or pick it up in person and save yourself shipping costs & delays.

Only $1380. Bank check preferred. (Personal check means a longer delay for clearance.)

E-mail me with any questions.
