I just stumbled across a great deal on an 18" which forces the sale of my 13.1" string scope project. I say project because I had decided that I would rebuild it after finding the dampening times somewhere around 5 seconds or so. Just not stiff enough. At this price you could rework it or trash the scope and use the optics. Here are the details:
-Coulter 13.1" primary.
-Novak style spider with secondary.
-University optics aluminum mirror cell.
-2" plastic rack and pinion focuser (next to worthless).
-8x50 straight finder with rings.
-24K strand kevlar tow "strings", braided nylon sheath, with turnbuckles.
-Baltic birch construction.
-Single ring upper and lower design with 3 1" aluminum spreaders.
-Teflon, Ebony star, with kydex secondary baffle.
I can try to get pictures to an interested party, my digicam is apparently out of commission. I would prefer pick-up/delivery but I'll discuss shipping it Fed-Ex. $450 for all!
