Gday,

Ive posted this a couple of times with "some" success (no cams as yet, but some irons in the fire).. but Im trying to account for my inevitable 50/50 trashing rate. This will be the last time this request will go up.

Like many, I cant afford the wizz-bang astro cams from sbig/sac/Starlight Express/etc.. so I attempt (50/50 success rate) to hack webcams for long exposure.

If you are in Oz ( or OS and can offset postage with the cam cost ) and have one of the cameras listed below that you have no further use for, please contact me via email with your offer and we can see if we can strike a deal. Help out a beginner Astrophotographer and get a warm fuzzy feeling for your efforts:)

Connectix Black & White (PPort) webcam.
Logitech Black & White (PPort) webcam.
Philips PCVCxxx (CCD based not CMOS) webcam.
Philips ToUcam webcam.
Vcam cu-98a & cu-99a webcam.
Logitech QCV2 (colour CCD) webcam.
Logitech Quickcam Pro 3000/4000 webcam.

Id love to add the JG1004x boards that are used by John Grove and the likes, but I doubt anyone would have one spare ( or that I could afford it).

I cant afford the new price of these webcams, so try and be gentle with me. My choice of EQ mount was probably a bad one as its sucked up my meager cash flow just to get it to a "usable" though ugly as sin condition.

Any and all help appreciated.

Kindest regards and thanks for taking the time to read this (again),

Garry D.
Land of Oz.

BTW payment by Paypal would be an advantage, Ive a mate with an account who can transfer the agreed ammounts.
