Made for the Latvian envoy to the US in 1943 by a French optician. I have some of his papers on the testing of the mirror...optically excellent, and should be considering who this was made for. This has a new powder-coat paint job, fresh Spectrum coatings on the mirrors, and a lot of elbow grease polishing the machined rings etc.. It comes with 10 various eyepieces and a diagonal + adapters for 1.25" from 1.5" European size. It also can be converted to an F-4 Newtonian. This is a museum quality piece of history, but is still a very useable telescope. I have a 1 3/4" shaft Starliner mount that will carry this scope I will sell with the scope for an additional $700. Total package is $3500, ($2800 for the scope & accessories). I will trade for a refractor, or other interesting scope, of equal value, or a TV102, FS102 + Cash, etc. I have a C14 that I use and this needs to find a home. Call or email for more info or check out ad #203375 in the archives. I would prefer to deliver or meet partway between here and Oklahoma City. With the mount this would be expensive to ship.
