This scope works fine, but has seen better days in the cosmetic department. It got abused by UPS on it's way to me, but I pounded out the dents, straightened all the bent things, and reassembled it into a working scope that has been giving great views of Mars. It works fine, but looks bad. Having said that, the dob mount itself is a typical Orion style mount. It works allright, but Obsession Telescopes doesn't need to worry about being put out of business by the mass market dob makers. Optically it has a good f/5 mirror with good sharp stars and nearly identical images on either side of focus. Coma at the edge is typicall for a fast dobsonian. THe scope has the base, tube, spider, secondary holder and secondary mirror, 10" f/5 primary in a metal cell with three point adjustment, a 2" focuser with 1.25" adapter, and a dovetail mounting base for the typical dove tail stalk finders. (Sorry no finder and the focuser while still completely useable is stiff in certain areas of its range. Also, the secondary has a little discoloration from fungus at the extreme edge on one side, unnoticeable in use.)

I am not willing to ship this whole, so if you are local to the Salt Lake area of Utah or are willing to drive there, We'll say $300 for the whole shebang. If not, I will pack the mirrors, spider and secondary holder, focuser, dovetail base, and the metal mirror cell up so that even the three stooges couldn't hurt them and ship it off to you insured for $300. Then I will drag the remainder to my next club meeting and sell it off to somebody to cover the shipping. 8^)

I prefer paypal, but will do money orders in a pinch.

THe picture should tell the story, but trust me you will like it. Even if it is ugly, it is cheap.

Thanks,

Paul
