20-inch Starliner Cassegrain-Newtonian Reflecting Telescope.
This telescope is from the UWRF Observatory and was manufactured by Starliner Co. of Tucson, AZ. The optics consist of a 20” f/11.3 Cassegrain mirror design along with a Newtonian f/4 and internal baffle tube.
Adjustable equatorial fork mount and variable solar/lunar/sidereal rate motor drive with roughly 16” diameter gear and clutch mechanism. The declination circle is approx. 8” diameter. No right ascension circle. RA and Dec sensor and LED readout needs repair though is partially functional. Keypads for variable rate slewing in all directions.
All attached finder scopes (Celestron 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain, Celestron 4” Schmidt-Cassegrain with 1” finder, 4” refractor, 1.5” refractor), covers, counter-weight system, assorted 2” mirror diagonals, and a variety of eyepieces are also included.
The telescope is being replaced by a somewhat smaller, but computer controlled, new 16” Meade LX200-GPS.
