This rare tube assembly is new and unused. Beautiful dark-blue OTA is the same as the Celestron, etc., Synta-sourced 6" refractors, except for the 750mm focal length and Canadian import. It harkens back to the days of the collectable A.Jaegers RFTs, of wide field performance and casual-only higher power use. The color error of so-fast a system is not a problem at low power wide fields. Includes the 9x50 finderscope (blue), dovetail finder bracket, 2" focuser and 1.25" adapter, and all lens caps only. It will drop into the tube cradle for your Synta 6" F 8, or any other 5.6" rings. The 4.5" diameter cap in the center of the lens cap sharpens up the higher power performance.

(I have found that the superb TMB 115mm F/7 and 130mm F6 objectives will fit into my other F5 tube this way: Remove the objective lens, the 115 cell drops in--the flange the same diameter as the lens seat--insert a ring of 3/4 inch foam rubber around the gap between the cells, thread on the original 6" ring and instant APO. The 130mm requires that you purchase the new collimating cell [about $100 from Canadian dealers], the flange of the 130 objective is constrained between the two halves of the cell; tip tilt is not required because the objectives are coma-corrected.)

$700 shipped in CONUS in original packaging, paypal accepted.
