Imagine Dr. Frankenstein in his lab with all those tesla
lightning bolts zigzagging through the ozoned air. The
creature begins to slowly stir, and finally opens his eyes
to gaze upon that beautiful fraulein. It's too bad they don't make classic melodramas like that anymore.

Instead, if you can now imagine a metal machine shop with
bits of aluminum flying everywhere from the lathe and
mill, you'll have a wonderful modern-day replacement for
that monster laboratory (with a little more poetry and
better music). The fact is that we make monsters all of the
time... just that we call them custom orders made to your
sometimes hallucinatory specifications.

For example, here's a request received last week from JT:

"I would like a Series IV Deluxe model focuser for my SBIG
ST-8. But, instead of a regular CCD nosepiece, could you make
a modular mount for it with a Nikon bayonet on it? I'd like
to attach it to a regular Nikon t-ring so that I can interchange
the CCD with my regular Nikon camera and still maintain focus
for both without fiddling around."

While not quite the same challenge Dr. Frankenstein faced, this
looked like a pretty decent one for me. And so, after sipping a
cup of coffee, I fired up the machines and had at it. Only 30
minutes later the monster emerged and awakened - unique, strange,
a product of imagination, and fully functional. Maybe
I just got lucky. (But then again, so did Dr. F when that lightning
bolt to the tower juiced the tesla coils.)

The message is, of course, this: if you want a Series IV 'Stiletto'
focuser, but think your set up is too weird, the odds are excellent we can come up with something even prettier than that fraulein for you. Just give us a call or email describing what you need.

The Series IV 'Stiletto' focuser really is the easiest, fastest, and
most precise way to focus a CCD or 35mm camera - even yours.

Clear Skies!
Richard
