12.5" TD Dob, f5, very good condition. All birch construction, very smooth and very solid. Mirror is full thickness, premium pyrex mirror with enhanced (94%) coatings. Includes: Telrad with dew shield, 60mm super finder (you want this), light shroud, extra handles on mirror box, JMI 2" focuser with 1.25" reducer. Trusses are foam padded. Also includes 4 nylon carrying bags: one for the upper cage, one for the truss tubes, and one for the hardware. Also includes another small bag that fits over the secondary for protection.

Scope has been well cared for. The mirror box has been painted with flat black paint for an improvement over the factory condition from Discovery. Excellent mirror: I've viewed Saturn, Jupiter, and the Moon at over 500x with incredible detail. The planets look three dimensional-- very impressive. Smooth tracking due to ebony star formica and teflon pads. These scopes have also been well reviewed by S&T and others.

The whole telescope fits into the trunk of my Toyota Corrolla for transport. Nice.

New from Discovery these are $1,999 plus tax, delivery, and 90 - 120 days delivery. I'm selling mine for $1,400. I don't want to ship, and you probably don't want me to either. I'm in Pleasanton, CA, which is in the SF East Bay area. I would like a local buyer, or perhaps we could meet halfway, or something. Thanks for the consideration!
