I have tried 2 or 3 ways to allow this type of ad
"My group wants a donation or deal for our cause"
When I let just anyone place ads like this I have had club officers contact me and say "He/She has no authority to be asking for items/services in our clubs name" so I end up in the middle of it and I don't want to be in the middle of it.
When I have let individuals place ads like this I have had instances of the person then taking what was donated to another site and auctioning it or selling it. I do not want to be in the middle of that either.
I am all for groups/clubs/good doers getting deals or gifts from those willing to donate them.
I have set up a new FORUM:
"My group wants a donation or deal for our cause"
where an AstroMart member can ask for donations of time / goods/ deals off retail etc. It will be up to the giver to determine if the group deserves their help and do the background work to be certain they are actually going to a good cause.
If you see someone place a request for donations please refer them to the new FORUM:
"My group wants a donation or deal for our cause".
Thank you
Herb
