For Sale: **SOLD** Orion SkyQuest XT8 for Pickup in St. Petersburg/Tampa

I have an Orion SkyQuest XT8 for sale in the St. Petersburg/Tampa,FL area. I would like to sell this for local pickup, as I doubt the buyer will want to pay for shipping. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance (an hour or so) to meet, if you are definately buying it.

The scope is about 2 years old, and is the one that has the 1 1/4" focuser. Since that time they've changed the scope a bit and put a 2" focuser on it. The scope is in excellent condition. I have removed the small plate from the focuser and regreased it. It's now smooth as butter, but while putting it back on, I broke off one of the screw heads. This in no way effects performance though. Other than that, the scope is in great shape optically and cosmetically. The only reason I'm selling it is that I currently have 3 scopes and am building another (15" truss), and I need the living space.

Included with the scope will be:
10mm and 25mm Sirius Plossls
the original 6x30mm finder
an Orion padded scope case (for the tube)
Orion's The Sky software CDrom
and a nice fold up padded stool that's a good height for this scope

Reduced and priced to sell at $300 for everything listed. If interested, I also have:
a 2" focuser that will fit the scope **Sale Pending on focuser**
a telrad base
Celestron 20mm, 9mm, 6mm plossls
and a Celestron 2x short barlow that I can sell at a bargain.
By the way, the telrad pictured is not included. I'm using it on my new scope I'm building.
Thanks for your interest,
Michael Brannon
