Great views of Mars is coming, and you won't miss out with this scope. In order to fund my large aperture telescope, I must sell my Celestron Ultima 2000 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain. - 7x50 Finderscope and Celestron's Star Pointer
- Fastar compatible optical tube
- Heavy-duty fork mount and heavy-duty adjustable metal tripod
- Hand Controller with LED Display
- Owner's manual and basic star charts
- Custom-fitted carrying case for the telescope tube
- Made in the U.S.A.
If you are not familiar with the Ultima 2000, this is a "Go-To" telescope, with a database of 10,000 solar and deep-sky objects. The Ultima 2000 has altazimuth operation and is capable of 15° per second fast slewing speed. The motors operate very quietly and have five useful speeds: 15° per second, finder speed at 3° per second, ± 6x sidereal, ±2x sidereal or 50% of sidereal. The telescope also boasts four built-in tracking rates: sidereal, King, lunar and solar. All Ultima 2000 functions are performed using the convenient hand controller, which is a standard accessory of this telescope. It is also possible to manually slew the Ultima 2000 and not have to realign it (as you must on some other computerized telescopes) when returning to the Go-To mode.
My asking price is $1,200, plus shipping. I would be willing to deliver the Ultima within the mid-Michigan area.
Thanks for looking.
