I have in my possession an actual piece of America's first space station, Skylab. This artifact is of the only surviving part, an oxygen tank which reentered the atmosphere and fell to earth. The rest of the space craft was destroyed during reentry. The oxygen tank was recovered in Australia. This historic piece is accompanied by two letters of authenticity. One is by astronaut Pete Conrad who flew on one of the early missions.
There is also a photo inside the poster of me standing beside the remnants of the actual oxygen tank that this specimen is taken from. The photo was taken at Marshal Space Flight Center at Huntsville, Alabama. This fine array of space history is more than 20 years old and is in mint condition.
This item has been appraised for as much as $1500.00. That letter of appraisal will be included. The poster measures 18 by 24 inches. I am asking $1000.00 but will accept offers over $500.00. Photo's other than the one posted here are available upon request.
