Televue Genesis (aperature 101mm, focal length 500mm, f/5) for sale w/ original brown case. Optics are mint and have not been cleaned. There are two scratches on dew shield, one is 3" long and very narrow (I think I made it the other day taking scope outside) and the other is very small, maybe .25". I can email photo showing both. Includes ota and clamshell ring for $1,200. Original manuals included. Additional items:
Televue 2" Diagonal w/ 1.25" adapter - $115.00
Televue Starbeam (non-flip version) - $160
Televue Piggy-Cam - $25
Televue 32mm Plossl w/ box is available for $65 (old version).
Payment preferred via paypal (split 3% fee) or cashiers check.
People have read reviews that there is this purple around planets and bright stars. I have seen it when I've taken the scope outside, placed it on the ground and removed the dew shield. Then after waiting a minute or two, I looked at Jupiter and saw some purple around it. No kidding. However, after waiting 15 to 20 minutes (meanwhile the temperature this winter is frickin -5 to 5 degrees) the purple goes away. It does come back ever so slightly if I use the Orion 3x barlow but not with my televue big barlow. And mind you all, I have crappy eyepieces. My best is either the 40mm 2" optiluxe or 26mm televue plossl. The rest are orion or meade plossls.
