12.5" Astrosystems Truss Dob Telekit (still in unassembled form) for sale, including optics. The primary is 59.5" in focal length and 1.6" thick, and was made by premier glass pusher Jerry Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson co-founded Galaxy Optics and has a sterling reputation. You can do a search for his name on sci.astro.amateur to find comments from other amateurs who own Wilkinson optics, as well as a recommendation from Carl Zambuto. The secondary has a minor axis of 2.6" and was supplied by Astrosystems.

Astrosystems has a website where you can read about their Telekit product. I can't provide the URL here, but you can look for the link on Ed Ting's website or e-mail me for the URL. These kits include some nice touches that are often options on other scopes... namely, wheels and wheelbarrow handles, light shroud, and a cooling fan and rechargable battery to run the fan. The kit does not include a finder or eyepieces.

Retail price on the kit plus comparable optics would be about $2500. I will field questions and consider serious (i.e., at least 75% of retail) offers until Friday March 7th. I will split actual shipping costs with the buyer, and will also entertain offers on the kit without optics (but not on the optics only).

If there's no interest in the kit by the end of the week I will assemble it and then market the finished scope.

Thanks for looking,

Duane
