I'm in the USAF and had this Heavy Duty custom Cabbage Case made to protect my Meade 12" LX-200 during my frequent moves. Price is $350 plus actual shipping costs.

This case will provide rock-solid protection for your scope during transportation to the field, moving, or storage. It has 2 heavy duty handles on each end for a two-man lift. It also has large 3 inch wheels on one end so one person can pull it. -- it includes the original packing foam from Meade (which would cost you over $200 from Meade). The case is 45 x 23 x 27.5 inches and weighs approximately 60 pounds empty. Construction details are available at Cabbage Cases website.

Shipping will be expensive -- it is too large to ship via UPS or USPS. Cabbage recommends shipping via FedEx Freight. You can obtain a shipping estimate to your location at fedexfreight website.

Use Class 150 and weight 70 lbs with a 40% discount and delivery from 80015 to determine terminal to terminal shipping costs. For residential delivery add another $55.

Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or would like additional pictures. Ron Huggins (Denver CO)
