Well, here is another one of those projects I'll never get around to finishing. This is a 6 inch Jaegers astronomical doublet mounted in a cell. I don't think this has ever been used, except to test. I bought it from Mark Erickson from NASA/ Goddard Space Center, MD. The test report was done by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. July 12th 1999. There is way more info on this test report than my amature mind can understand, but one spec that is important is the rms rating of 0.027 wave, which I have been told is very good.
This would make a great planetary scope for someone with time to put it in a tube. This will give some fantastic views of Saturn and Jupiter. I am asking $500.00 plus shipping.
If you have any questions or would like photos from a different angle please ask. Just keep in mind a 6 inch f15 will be a long scope.
The dimensions of the cell are OD of cell= 6.865", the OD of flange on the cell= 6.985", the cell is 2.145 deep, and the flange is .165" wide. I have made a drawing with dimentions and can scan it and send it to you, if you are interested. SORRY, IT HAS BEEN SOLD. THANKS TIM
