This came unexpectedly as a case for a small, refractor that I just purchased, and I don't really have a use for it. I just discovered that it is actually intended for use as a fishing rod case, but it could be used as a refractor case for air travel or long-term storage. It is a Plano Phantom Model 4572. It is a cylindrical, black, heavy-duty plastic case with an internal diameter of 4 inches and a length of from 50" to over 75" (extendable). There are nice, high-density foam pads at each end of the tube, but no padding along its length. Hexagonal base at bottom end (with two holes drilled in edges) to allow tube to stand up and potentially be mounted upright or to prevent from rolling when laid down. Has a vinyl carrying handle along the side and latches to close the hatch at the top end. Will sell for $30 or will include as partial trade for a starter 2" eyepiece, 2" diagonal, or potentially anything else that you are looking to free yourself of (besides wives and children). Thanks!
