MIDI Generator / Tone Bank
Well, as my hobbies come and go I need to get rid of gear that keeps piling up to make room for current endeavours, so here's another fine device from a hobby I just don't devote the time to anymore.
Anyone familiar with the Roland name will tell you this is a fine piece of equipment from a respected and established company. Roland was a MIDI pioneer and it's products are still at the forefront of MIDI technology.
This device cost well over $600 and probably has less than 50 hours on it.
It is all original and in great shape. Original MIDI cables (2), original manual, original power adapter, original box even. The only thing missing is the remote control. Never used that anyway since this thing always sat near the computer and was always within arm's reach. It is not required for it to work and to tell you the truth, I never saw a reason or a need for it anyway.
This is still a very viable device if you are into the MIDI thing and there are tons of resources relating to it on the Internet. It will interface with any IBM compatible PC that has MIDI IN or MIDI OUT capabilities. If your system has a soundcard with a joystick port then you are in business because most all joystick ports also work as MIDI IN/OUT ports. Adapter cables are readily available and you don't have to give up your joystick to use it. There are also separate interface cards available to allow this device to act as your systems MIDI renderer. If you're tired of the cheesy sounding MIDI from your systems onboard chip when playing games or surfing the 'Net then this is the answer.
Also has 'line level' audio outputs so you can patch it into any device that has "line in" jacks like a stereo system, tape deck, or disc recorder.
I can email you an MP3 file of an 'onboard' song in this device if you'd like to hear a sample of it's sounds. They will be the actual instrument sounds produced by this device.
CONUS only please
