After building an observatory I find that the 12" scope makes fewer field trips so the home built power supply needs to go, I need the room. Should I need field power I have other "Jump Start" type batteries I can use.
This power supply for sale was built to supply power for either the Classic (1812 18 volt supply), or the LX200GPS 12 volt scopes plus either AC or DC for laptop/notebook computers, and outlets for other accessories like CCD imagers etc. What the single photo can't show is the three sealed (2-12 ah and 1-7 ah, the Meade 1812 12-18 volt converter, the DC/AC power supply, the Radio Shack 8-24 volt variable DC power converter, dual intake/exhaust (because I wanted to) fans, spare fuse holder, and all of the switches, external fuse holders, outlets and charging jacks on the back.
I have used this power supply for in excess of three dusk to dawn observing sessions last October without recharging to power my 12" LX200GPS, notebook, and in a caffeine panic the Mr. Coffee one early morning.
What you can see, not very clearly and I apologize for that, on the front are the three black accessory outlets, single circuit scope outlet, and backlit panel mount 6-position selector switch for monitoring the different internal circuits inside the box. The box is 5-ply 1/4" plywood with galvanized corner bracing and edging. Two side handles are conveniently positioned for the most comfortable transport of this 35+ lb. package which measures approximately 10 1/2" H x 15 1/2" L x 11 3/4" W.
If you're seriously interested and don't want to pay the shipping on this, and are close enough that I don't have to drive more than 100 miles to get to you, I'll deliver.
All this for $250.00. I can also provide more photos to serious inquiries.
Thanks for looking!
